Nov. 1, 2008: Employee Relations Today. Oct. 11, 2008: Trinity Magazine. Trinity International University, a community of four schools in the U.S., noted John Pearson's book, Mastering the Management Buckets, in the Fall 2008 issue of Trinity Magazine.  John is a 1970 graduate (M.A.) of Trinity Evangelical Divinity School, Deerfield, Ill. When you read Chapter 8, The Culture Bucket, in Pearson's book, you'll see the discussion on core values--with the suggestion you should limit them to four or five. Trinity has five values all beginning with the letter C: 1) Christ centeredness, 2) Comprehensive education, 3) Community, 4) Church connectedness, and 5) Cultural engagement.

Oct. 4, 2008: Buckets Workshop Faculty Added. John Pearson Associates, Inc. announced this week that three associates have joined the faculty team as presenters of the Mastering the Management Buckets Workshop Experience.  Gary Bishop, John Bradford and Gary Williams will be adding workshops in North America and Australia. Aug. 15, 2008: Investor's Business Daily.  John Pearson, author of Mastering the Management Buckets, was quoted in "Fire Up Your Employees, an article in Investor's Business Daily, which was also picked up by Yahoo! News. 

Aug. 15, 2008: Pastorpreneur Blog.  Dr. John Jackson, author of Pastorpreneur and God Size Your Church: Beyond Growth for Growth's Sake, recommended Mastering the Management Buckets today on his blog, Pastorpreneur. "I have 13 pages of HAVE TO KEEP quotes from the book," he wrote.

Aug. 15, 2008: Radio Spots Released.  Westar Media Group has released five 60-second radio spots featuring John Pearson on Mastering the Management Buckets.  Visit The (Sound) Bites page to hear John's take on five hot questions, including, "There is so much to know about leadership and management. Aug. 14, 2008: Prophet WITH Honor.  Get this!  John Pearson, a resident of San Clemente, Calif., got a couple of author inches in his hometown paper, San Clemente Times. So a "prophet without honor" is not always true. That's encouraging.

Aug. 12, 2008: KKLA Radio.   John Pearson was interviewed today on KKLA-FM (99.5 FM in Los Angeles) by afternoon drive-time radio host, Frank Pastore. It was John's fourth radio interview today with stations across America. Regal Books' publicist, Pure Publicity, has been keeping John busy all summer!

Aug. 5, 2008: Amazon Kindle Edition.  The Kindle edition of  Mastering the Management Buckets is now available from Amazon.com. Kindle is Amazon's new wireless reading device. July 29, 2008: Earthquake!   BREAKING NEWS!  How's this for irony?  This morning, John Pearson was in his second floor office in San Clemente, California, and the rocking and rolling started. Earthquake!  He was on the phone with a print reporter for an interview on "The Crisis Bucket," one of the 20 buckets in Mastering the Management Buckets. After commenting to the reporter that companies need to "drill, drill and drill again" in the Crisis Bucket (in case of earthquake, flood, fire or other crises), the 5.4 earthquake interrupted the interview! Yikes!  It was the most severe earthquake John has experienced in his 15 years in California. "But, after 21 winters in Chicago, I'll still take my chances here in beautiful Southern Cal," he responded. "We don't need snow shovels here."

July 26, 2008: NACBA Ledger.   "Mastering the Management Buckets: The Five Strategic Balls in the Operations Bucket," (a five-page article by John Pearson) was published in the Summer 2008 issue of NACBA Ledger, a journal of the National Association of Church Business Administration, a professional network of 3,000 church administration leaders from 66 faith groups in America.  "Operations often get a bad rap, " wrote Pearson, "yet a well-functioning church must have gifted people who delight in executing the core competencies in the Operations Bucket."

April 21, 2008: Christian Leadership Alliance (formerly Christian Management Association). John Pearson presented a one-day Buckets workshop at CLA Dallas 2008.  Order the CDs or MP3s from Dove Conference Services. (Note: the workshop is highly interactive with lots of Q&A that may or may not be on the CDs. It covered 10 buckets.) Pearson was one of several authors featured in a conference flyer and at the book signings at the Dallas conference.

April 9, 2008: Fresh Bread (published by Christian Camping International Worldwide).  Dan Bolin, international director of CCI Worldwide, began his "Fresh Bread" eNews with a quote from the Drucker Bucket chapter.
